About Sana

Sana is an AI-powered learning platform that empowers organizations to find, share, and harness the knowledge they need to achieve their missions. Backed by some of the world’s leading investors, operators, and founders, Sana has raised over $50M to date.

Why do we need you?

We are looking for a freelance senior instructional designer, that is fluent in both English and German, to help us produce learning courses from existing books and training material. It’ll be your job to distill the original content into a course that’s comprehensive, engaging, and entertaining.

What will you do?

You will fulfill the post of a critical role at Sana as Learning Architect. These individuals are the gatekeepers of content quality and are both the first and last set of eyes to review courses. They are also vital in helping new and rising authors hone their skills and ‘level up’.

As a Learning Architect, you will help lead content deployments, both large and small. This could mean you act as a hands-on author alongside other authors, writing and editing content yourself, and/or managing the progression of several simultaneously occurring projects.

As with all Sana deployments, you will be asked for availability before taking on any new deployment.

Once a deployment has been accepted, you will likely be very hands-on at the beginning of the creation process - ensuring that all authors and content are heading in the right direction. You will also be responsible for deliverables at the end of the process - this means catching any errors, noticing opportunities for improvement, or anything that might hold the course back from being fantastic.

You need to be very skilled in the following, as you will be a role model for the instructional designers that you will mentor and coordinate:

  • Designing engaging courses from the source material
  • Creating interactive lessons that follow our learning design principles
  • Repackaging and organizing content in line with our templates
  • Rephrasing copy to make it concise and engaging
  • Creating course questions based on the content
  • Reviewing and proofreading the final course for consistency and accuracy
  • Be able to mentor and coach rising authors

Beyond the above, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Being fluent in Sana's design principles, methodologies, tools, and ways of working
  • Coordinating with authors to deliver on deployments
  • Reviewing (when relevant) course outlines and first drafts before full-scale content development begin
  • Reviewing courses at the final stages to ensure they meet all requirements and standards
  • Ensuring deadlines are met
  • Monitoring the progress of deployments from start to finish
  • Coaching new and existing writers on best practices
  • Relaying questions or concerns about content to the deployment lead if client input is required

How will we work together?

Hopefully on an ongoing basis. We’ll start with a single course assignment and go from there. There are plenty of courses to work on and we’re adding more all the time. Remotely. Though if you happen to be in Stockholm where we’re located, we’d love to say hi.

If you're interested in the role, send us a proposal.
